The Afterpay Australian Fashion Week showcases the best of the Australian Fashion and Design. In 2022, we were approached to create a series of displays specific to the Indigenous runway. The event included a performance from the iconic Jessica Mauboy, and culturally powerful and immersive audiovisual work from our very own, acclaimed Aboriginal artist and co-founder, Wayne Quilliam.

The opening, commissioned by Afterpay, ran over 22 minutes  combining spectacular drone sequences and haunting audio captured in some of Australia’s most remote areas.

The occasion stood as evidence of the strength found in collaboration and community spirit. It united designers, industry experts, and fashion enthusiasts to honour the vibrant cultural legacy and modern ingenuity of First Nations peoples.
